1). Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Intermediate (12th) exam with Science, Commerce or Arts from CBSE or UPMSP recognized school.

Exam Pattern
The UPPRPB will hold the written test for the Uttar Pradesh Jail Warder Recruitment 2025 in offline mode using the OMR Sheets. There will be a total number 150 objective-type questions from the following sections:

Physical Efficiency Test
The physical efficiency test (PET) for the recruitment of Jail Warders under the UP Prison Department consists of a single stage, which is running.
- A male individual is required to run 4.8 kilometers in 25 minutes.
- The female candidate is required to run 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes.
Candidates will be given only one chance to complete the task within the given time frame, it is qualifying in nature i.e. no score will be allocated to clear it.
Salary
Individuals who will be appointed as Jail Warder under the UP Prison Department will get the monthly salary range from ₹21,700 – ₹69,10 with the Pay Level 2 under the 7th CPC with additional benefits. After one year of appointment, the candidate will be promoted as Jail Prahari (Head), which he or she will get a salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100.
