The National Insurance Company Limited will release the advertisement for recruitment of Administrative Officer (Scale I) – Generalists and Specialists will be released in the last week of May 2025, which will be followed by the application form on the official website at https://nationalinsurance.nic.co.in/.
The NICL Assistant Exam is a recruitment test which held annually to recruit AO (Scale I) – Generalists & Specialists, for year 2025, the notification will be released soon and then aspirants across the country will be able to apply by providing details, attaching documents and paying the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the NICL AO (Scale I) Recruitment 2025 is available below, go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.
- A candidate must be a permanent resident of India, or subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries.
- The age of the candidate mustn’t be below 21 years and above 30 years. There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 5 years for SC and ST.
- The educational qualification for the different streams can be found below:
- Generalists: Graduation/Post-Graduation in any stream with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Doctors (MBBS/MD/MS): MBBS / MD / MS or PG Medical Degree with valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.
- Legal Officer: LLB/LLM with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Finance Officer: CA/ICWA or B.Com/M.Com with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
- Actuarial Officer: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
- IT Officer: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science/IT or MCA with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
- Automobile Engineer: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Automobile Engineering with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
- Hindi Officer: Master’s in Hindi or English with the other language as a subject or medium, with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).

Application Fee
The application fee to apply for the NICL AO Recruitment 2025, one who belongs to Unreserved, Other Backward Class, or Economically Weaker Section is required to pay the application fee of 1,000 rupees. Aspirants belonging to Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribes for Physically Handicapped need to pay 250 rupees.
Selection Process
The exam is conducted in multiple stages, which includes Prelims, Mains and Interview. Those who apply for recruitment of AO (Scale I) – Generalists and Specialists under the NICL are called for the first stage of the selection process, which is followed by the second and then the last stage takes place.
