IOB LBO Selection Process 2025
Candidates are going to be selected for the appointment of LBO under the IOB on the basis of the selection process, which consists of an Online Exam, Language Proficiency Test and Personal Interview. The details about each stage can be found from the below:
- Online Exam:
- OT will be held for all the applicants, the time duration of this exam will be 03 hours.
- There will be a total number 140 MCQs of 200 marks will be asked in this exam
- Incase of incorrect response ¼ of the question’s weightage will be deducted.
- The medium of exam will be English and Hindi, except for the section of English Knowledge.
- Language Proficiency Test:
- Candidates who will clear the OT will be called for LPT, only if the candidate won’t have provided the proof of studying the local language of their state at the Matriculation or Intermediate exam.
- Personal Interview:
- PI will be held in face-to-face mode. Only those will be called for this stage whose will have passed the OT and LPT, if applicable.
Note:
- The selection list for the IOB LBO Recruitment 2025 will be prepared based on the performance in the Online Test and Personal Interview with a weightage of 80:20.
- Before joining the candidate will have to execute a Financial Service Indemnity Bond for ₹2,00,000/- to work with the bank for at least 3 years, after completing the probation period of 2 years.
IOB LBO Eligibility Criteria 2025

- One must have pursued BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BTech, BBM, or any other Bachelor’s Degree in any subject, stream or discipline; or have any equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of India.
- The minimum age limit is 20 years, and maximum is 30 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years and 5 years for OBC-NCL and SC & ST, respectively, with an additional upper age relaxation for 10 years for PwBD.

IOB LBO Application Fee 2025
To apply for the recruitment of Local Bank Officers under the Indian Overseas Bank, a candidate belonging to UR, OBC or EWS is required to deposit the application fee and intimation charge of 850 rupees; SC, ST and PwBD Category candidates need to pay intimation charge of 175 rupees.
Pay Scale
Candidates who will be appointed as Local Bank Officers in JMGS – I under the Indian Overseas Bank will get the monthly salary range from ₹48,480/- to ₹85,920/- during the service period, the candidate is going to get seven annual increment of ₹2000, two annual increment of ₹2340 and seven annual increment of ₹2680.
The individual will get the Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, and other benefits as per rules in force from time to time.
