IBPS Clerk Notification 2025 Soon, Vacancy, Eligibility Criterias, Selection Process

The IBPS Clerk Exam is a recruitment test held for recruitment of Clerk in the participating public sector banks (PSBs), which is held annually. It has two stages: Prelims and Mains; for year 2025-26, the notification is likely to be released in October 2025. It usually happens that after the notification release, the application form is available for four weeks.

The exam date for the both stage of this exam is concerned by the conducting body i.e. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, the prelims will take place on 6, 7, 13 and 14 December 2025, which will be followed by the Mains on February 01, 2026. IBPS Clerk 2025 Vacancy

The IBPS will release the number of vacancies for recruitment of Clerk in the 11 participating public sector banks with the notification. For the year 2024-25, there were a total number of 6128 vacancies. The category-wise number of posts for each State/UT is available below with reservation details.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2025

To apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2025, an aspirant must meet the eligibility criterias. Go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.

1. Must be a Citizen of India.
2. BA, BSC, BCom, or any undergraduate degree holder in any subject or discipline from an institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE.
3. Shouldn’t be below 20 years and 28 years, 3 years and 5 years upper age relaxation is applicable for OBC-NCL and SC/ST.

Additionally, the candidate must have Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Computer Operation or Language; further, he/she has studied the regional language of State/UT at Matriculation or Intermediate level.

IBPS Clerk Application Fee 2025

The application fee to apply for the recruitment of Clerk in the participating PSBs vary from one another based on the category, go through the listed points to check the details.

  • One who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS is required to pay 850 rupees, which includes the application fee and intimation charge.
  • Individuals belonging to SC, ST and PH need to deposit an intimation charge of only 175 rupees.

Each applicant will have to deposit the required fee using one the provided payment gateway by the due date.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2025

The IBPS will hold the Prelims and Mains of the IBPS Clerk Exam 2025 in online mode, the timing duration for the first and second will be 1 Hour and 2 Hours 40 Minutes, respectively.

A total number of 100 MCQs having a weightage of 1 mark will be asked from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.

There will be 190 MCQs in the Mains, whose weightage will be 200 marks, out of total questions, 50 will be from Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude and General/Financial Awareness, each, and 40 will be from English Language.

Both Prelims and Mains will have negative marking of ¼ mark, and the medium of exam will be English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.

The nature of Prelims is qualifying, those who will at least meet the cut-off marks will be called for the Mains, the selection list for appointment will be prepared based on the performance in the Mains.
